My season so far...

So since I last updated I had just competed in Miami back in January, that seems like a very long time ago!! I will try to update you here with what I have been up to and what I've got coming up next...!

After Miami, I spent 5 nights at home sleeping in my own bed before I packed my bags again and escaped the UK weather, for some warmer climates. I went to Cadiz, in the south of Spain for 3.5 weeks. We did 3 weeks of training and finished off with the Andalusian regatta, a small regatta, which turned out to be a pretty big regatta with a very high level..! I finished 4th, a solid result to start the season..!

Starting a race at Andalusian week. I am GBR 7.

Pumping downwind, trying to catch up!!!

Waiting for races, it was colder than it looks!!!

Next, I came home and had a short rest, and a bit of time to enjoy the snow (or hide from it!!!). Though soon enough, I was back to the warmer climates again..! I was off to Palma de Mallorca, again for 3 weeks and then finished off with the Trofeo Princesa Sofia regatta. A very well attended event, and the first European Cup event of the year. We had a mixed week with all weather, in the end I finished 7th overall, a good result, I had some great races and some not so great, but overall I was quite happy.

Probabaly, one of my best days ever windsurfing! 15 - 20 knots, wavey, sunny and a 1st and a 2nd in the racing!!

Another nice day for me, smiling at the camera!!

Pulling a beautiful face after pumping my heart out!

After the Princesa Sofia regatta, I went on a short holiday to Menorca. It was super nice to relax, and even go on a techno again!! (the junior board)

Techno fun!!!

After 1 week of chilling, we headed back to Palma where I did a few days training before packing up all the equipment and travelling to Hyeres, France. This is where the next World Cup was held, with the top 40 from the world there.

It was a very light wind week, I did ok, some amazing races fighting it out with the best and then I had some really bad races, but I learnt so much. On the last day I was around 15th and with 3 races scheduled my aim was to try and make the Medal race (only top 10), it was a big ask but I gave it my all! I got a 1st, and a 3rd, and at this stage I would have qualified for the Medal race. Unfortunately my last race was a bit of a shocker and it knocked me out of contention. Anyway, I came away from that day pretty pissed off with my last race but happy with how I approached the races and super happy to be winning races!

During my winning race..!

Finally it was time to go home after a long 2 months away. I had a few days rest then went to Weymouth to start a big 2 week block of intense training. It was really good, and pretty nice weather. Also my new board was delivered which I raised through crowdfunding!!

My new crowdfunding board!! It got its debut just the week after...!

Training hard in Weymouth

After 2 weeks in Weymouth, I quickly got in the car and we drove to Holland to compete in the Medemblik regatta. It is one of the European cup events and had a really high level with 50 women competing. It was a great event with light to moderate wind during the week. The racing was super close but I managed to come 5th overall. It was a good result, but I'm eager to keep improving and get on that podium...!

Mid race focus!

Trying to breathe after another non-stop pumping race

Lining up for the Medal race, I finished in a solid 4th place

Right now I am having a few days rest at home and then next week I am competing again at the World Cup final in Marseille, I am super excited to get back on the race course!! Follow my Facebook and Instagram pages for more regular updates!
