Emma competes for Great Britain in the Olympic Windsurfing Class. She is the 2025 iQFOiL World Champion and a double Olympic medallist.
From an early age Emma has been passionate about sport and was particularly inspired as a kid by watching the Olympics on TV. She started windsurfing aged about seven, though initially wasn’t that keen.
That soon changed though and aged 12, she won the U15 World Championship in San Francisco, a result that announced her arrival on the world stage.
She went on to become a three-time Youth World Champion and in 2019, was chosen to represent Great Britain in Tokyo as the youngest member of the British Sailing Team.
In Tokyo Emma won a fabulous bronze medal, finishing level on points with the silver medallist and only two points off gold. This made her only the second British woman to win an Olympic windsurfing medal.
Three years later, racing in Marseilles at the Paris Olympics on the new iQFOiL equipment, Emma won bronze again. She recorded the best scorecard in Olympic windsurfing history and won the most races of any sailing competitor at the Games.
Having been World Champion at every age level, Emma won her first senior title in Aarhus in 2025, to complete the set of Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals and firmly establish her as Britain’s best ever female Olympic windsurfer.
